What a very strange year 2020 has been. We have all struggled with the ups and downs over the past year but the Young people of Syston Scout Group have kept smiling and carried on having fun and learning skills for life.
All of our Beavers, Cubs and Scouts have been back at the hall from September for 8 weeks. Then we had to move to our online programme to do at home while we were all in lockdown. Which never stopped us having fun before! We have been Learning about Diwali and making lanterns, Remembering at home for Armistice Day, Cooking together online, Virtual Treasure hunts, Escape Rooms and many more fun activities.
We plan to be back before Christmas if national guidance allows. We will continue to have fun however we can, giving Young People activities and challenges which will help them gain Skills for Life.
We would like to wish you all a wonderful Christmas and New Year.
We are always looking for help and support in improving our facilities for our young people, which will help prepare them with skills for life. Is this something you would be able to help with? Please get in touch.
Syston Scouts are always looking for new members and adult volunteers to help make Scouting in Syston great. If you can spare a few hours a week, why not get in touch and help young people develop #SkillsForLife. Contact us on 0116 326 6908 or email info@systonscouts.org.uk
